PERTH HAPPENINGS! - Autumn Winter Mini Shopping Day!

What a way to make my debut!

A whole day dedicated to Shopping?! Why would they do that to me! So many things to buy, so many people to buy things for! That's basically how I deal with shopping. I make excuses.

Womens fetish is proven to be buying stuff that don't matter!! I always add things to my shopping cart JUST BECAUSE its on Sale, JUST BECAUSE I CAN!Even after working in the media and being part of a sales/ marketing team, I am easily a victim to all things that are "advertised attractively"! Nothing wrong with that, just that sometimes I don't have the budget to spend like a duke.

Having experienced my first of such kind of events, after browsing through a multitude of shops in Perth City, (I bought ; underwear that was 5 dollars for three, Lush bath bombs (those things are magical I swear), my boyfriends birthday present, socks, winter gloves and of course a cuppa tea.

Two hundred dollars later, and an appetite full of guilt,  I decide to take it easy and attend the most logical event of the day, "The Art of Flat Lay Workshop" with renowned product styling specialists Claire Mueller.

She is a social media goddess having her masterpiece scattered all over popular sites including WhoWhatWear, Style Caster & WA's weekly fashion bible STM Magazine. With such experience, technical niche, and an eye for design, Claire helps companies tell a story that represents their brand and budget all through one powerful image. Isn't that just awesome!?!

This is why I am so intrigued with her genius mind.
So I walk toward the Carillion City shops, where the event is held

The Curtains Are Drawn, Let us BE!

Is it alright if I start my first post with a thought?
After all, isn't that why I decided to pen down my feelings, experiences and expressions to paper - Well, in this case a blank screen?
So many years passed. A career in journalism, performing in various events, and the thought of having this "online journal" remained a thought with fears that I will be judged as a poor writer.
Finally I realised you know what? Fuck it. This is my life. My words and my Story.

I am long winded, and that is exactly why I'm going to tell you my thought now - Why are people so quick to judge?
And the answer is in my question.  I mis-judged my freedom, capabilities and creativity - That is a BIG sin.
Everyone has their own way of expressing themselves. Some write, some read, some tell jokes, some talk, some sing, some dance, some draw, etc.
Taken at the Perth Arena - ACM

I'm here to tell you it is okay and healthy to express yourself, knowing it would result in positive change. By admitting that, I am also able to develop myself and become better.

I mis-judged the minority who will hopefully be able to relate to this posts.
I am depriving myself from sharing issues that may be able to help someone, and simply for that reason I AM ready to BE.

Let us encourage one another to always BE . BE in the moment. BE yourself. BE one with your thoughts. BE awesome. BE beautiful and BE the future you dreamt to be the day before.

Thank you for allowing me to let you in.

Remember, everyday is a new day, and a chance that things could get better!

Lots of Love,

Amanda

FOr Your Pleasure, Welcome to MY World

My first post was pretty emotional eh... *awkward silence*
And yet I STILL haven't introduced myself to you.... *tweet tweet* awkward silence twice in a row..MANNNNnn!
ANYHU, jokes aside, my name is Amanda Charmaine, always ready to laugh at myself, at any given chance! I would describe myself as witty, song-filled, adventurous in words - not very much in actions lately, a foodie, internet junkie, quite the women lover, and a die hard music fan! #lemonade

I am a Malaysian living in Australia, and the past 20 something years have been a roller coaster full of gin & vodka, with occasional human hiccups.

I used to be so against writing blogs or even diaries for that matter  because the invasion of privacy could cause a lot of crazy behaviour aka stalking, perving (i just made up that word), people will judge me, I will be perceived as an attention seeker. But after watching Kanye at the Grammys, when he said  he would be running for president in 2020, or when Beyonce smashed windows cos' she was mad at Becky, and Rebecca Black got shamed for singing about Friday, yet Beiber's Baby became the most hated video on You Tube, I stopped thinking too much and started BE-ing.. not BEY-ing *although I do love Beyonce - same Birthday Ya'll*

With my new found attitude adapted from a humble point of view, I hope to cover an array of topics - light hearted stories of my past, present and future, relationships, squad goals, lifestyle, health, fashion & make up, music, art, celebrities, heroes, events & happenings, love, tv and movie reviews, heavy cream topics to debate and current obsessions!

Very current and close to my heart also is my move from Malaysia to Perth. Find out the process, my tips and advice, struggles and ways to cope. The many weathers, how I decided to make a change in my life, comparisons of the two countries, and fresh developments .

I come to you with only peace and love.

Leaving you with a song that helped me through a lot. Here's Christina Aguleira explaining "Life is a journey, it will take you where you need to go. As long as you're learning you'll find out you'll never be alone....".

xoxo
